Time travel is confusing enough without a web slinging teenager jumping around in the timeline to corrupt the past. The mild success of Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions has spawned a new entry into the Spider-Man series from Activision. Spider-Man: Edge of Time for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii pairs up the modern day Peter Parker with Spider-Man 2099 (Miguel O’Hara) in a battle to restore a slice of sanity to each other’s worlds. The game uses a “cause and effect” style of gameplay that drastically alters the realities of both superheroes. Check out the opening screenshots below:

Spider-Man 2099 seems to be squaring off with the protagonists in Crysis.
I believe the guy standing on the ledge just crapped his pants and will be running away shortly.
Spider-Man 2099 flies through the air like a graceful dove and strikes laughter in the lungs of his enemies.
When Robot Steve gets back to the barracks, he pretends that the real Spider-man kicked his ass rather than the ghost of 2099 to save face in front of his buddies..
